Located in Davidson County, Nashville is both the capital of Tennessee and the most populous city in the state with over 660,000 residents. Situated along the Cumberland River, Nashville is recognized for being a hub for industries including music, healthcare, publishing, transportation and banking. It is also home to many colleges and universities including Vanderbilt University, Tennessee State and Fisk University to name a few.
Nashville’s downtown is lively from entertainment and dining to architectural highlights. Areas of interest include the Broadway and 2nd Avenue areas as well as the central business district. Numerous multi-story towers have been erected over the years beginning in 1957 with the Life & Casualty Tower. Today, as the local economy flourishes, more have been constructed or are under construction. In fact, in 2017 the Nashville economy was regarded as one of the fastest growing in the country and Freddie Mac Realtors named it the “hottest housing market in the US.”
