What Brought You To Nashville?
A great job opportunity with Mars PetCare, based in Franklin, brought us to Nashville. We’ve always had Nashville on our list of places to visit but never thought we’d actually have the opportunity to live here. We also thought we could never live without the beach & ocean nearby but instead we traded up for Mountains and are loving it!
Any Similarities Between Nashville And Where You Moved?
We are from Miami, Florida which is starkly different from Nashville. It was hard to leave our friends and our favorite spots in Miami behind but we were quickly able to meet some great people here and find new favorite spots here so Nashville quickly felt at home.
Most Surprising Revelation About The Area?
How friendly the people are and how close everything is. There’s never a shortage of places to visit and things to do. And, it’s so easy to get around without spending the day in a car. There are hundreds of waterfalls in the state of Tennessee and the majority of them are within a 2-hour drive from Nashville so we have spent the majority of Quarantine out in Nature.
Your Favorite Restaurant and Why?
Impossible to name one so here are a few of our favorites…Herban Market for some everyday fast, healthy & great tasting food. Henrietta Red in Germantown for some excellent seafood & drinks. Woodlands Indian Cuisine for their coconut curry and our favorite local coffee spots are The Well and District coffee.
If you could change one thing about Nashville, what would it be?
I’d put an ocean next to it 🙂 Honestly, we wouldn’t want to change a thing. We love it as is.
How Has The Covid-19 Pandemic Changed How You Live Life In Nashville?
Instead of exploring the city, we now are exploring the outdoors. It’s really been a blessing to be living here with our family during this time. During the Pandemic, we got an RV and have been taking family trips to the Great Smoky Mountains and trying to visit every waterfall in the state. So far, we’ve been able to hike 15 waterfalls this year.
Why I Love Nashville?
The nature. The landscape. The people. To have all the great amenities that come with a big city while also having the opportunity to be in nature with our kids every day. It is special to have the best of both worlds. We love the change of the seasons, never having that in Miami. It’s been such an easy transition for us. It’s our new home.
